Mark Joseph Winchester, Route 2, Athens, and Peggy Marie Gosse, Unity, have recently announced their engagement.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Winchester, Route 2, Athens, and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Gosse, Route 1, Curtiss.

Miss Gosse is a 1974 graduate of Colby High School. Winchester will graduate from Abbotsford High School in 1977.

She is employed by the Colby School District as a teacher’s aide in Kindergarten, and Winchester is employed by H and M. Furniture.

A January 8, 1977 wedding is being planned.

Gosse, Peggy Marie (8 Jan 1977)

Peggy Marie Gosse, Route 1, Curtiss, and Mark Joseph Winchester, Rute 2, Athens, were married Saturday, January 8, 1977 by Jerry L. Herring at his home in Colby.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Gosse, Route 1, Curtiss, and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Winchester, Route 2, Athens.

The bride wore an ivory muslin peasant styled gown trimmed with blue velveteen and carried a single ivory rose with blue baby’s breath and silk ribbons. Her ensemble was completed with a picture hat.

Carol Staffeil, Route 1, Colby, was chosen as the bride’s maid of honor. She wore a blue gray dress accented with ivory inserts and carried a sing blue rose and baby’s breath.

Bob Austin, Abbotsford, was the bridegroom’s best man.

A reception and supper were held at the Colby City Hall.

Mrs. Winchester is a 1974 graduate of Colby High School. She is a teacher’s aide in the Colby School District.

The bridegroom will graduate from Abbotsford High School this spring. He is employed by Winchester Implements.
