Catherine Ann Zink, Stevens Point, and Guy John Rankl, Route 1, Abbotsford, were
married at St. Peters Catholic Church, Stevens Point, on Friday, December 31,
1976, at 4 p.m.
Parents of the couple are Mrs. Herman Zink, Stevens Point, and Mr. and Mrs.
Clarence Rankl, Route 1, Abbotsford.
The Rev. Chester Zielinski performed the ceremony. Music for the nuptial service
was provided by Mrs. Lawrence Rosenthal, organist, and James Klish, soloist.
Mrs. Daniel Beni was maid of honor for her sister. Another sister of the bride,
Mrs. Baldwin Carstensen, was bridesmaid.
Jerome Rankl, a brother of the bridegroom, was best man, and Oscar Koffarnus
Jr., cousin of the bridegroom, was groomsman.
Completing the wedding party were ushers Michael Carstensen and Kraig Rankl.
A reception followed the ceremony at Riverside Supper Club.
The bridegroom, a self-employed dairy farmer, graduated from Abbotsford High
School and attended the University of Wisconsin, River Falls.
The new Mrs. Rankl graduated from Maria High School in Stevens Point. She also
is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point, and received a
Masters of Social Service degree from Fordham University in New York. She is a
social worker for the Portage County Department of Social Services.
The couple will reside at Route 1, Abbotsford.
