Slark, Debbie Lee (9 October 1982)
The Rev. Dan Wilger officiated at the Saturday afternoon, October 9, nuptial
rites at St. John’s Catholic Church in Marshfield for Debbie Lee Slark and Brian
Lee Bredlau, both of Owen. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Richard Slark,
Rt. 1 Granton, and Mr. and Mrs. Bredlau, Owen.
Special music was offered at the service by Kathy Bradle and Nancy Kipp.
Barbara O’Conner of Marshfield served as the maid of honor. She was joined by
Mrs. Terry Gotter of Marshfield, Sheri Slark of Granton, Patti Molina of
Minneapolis and Jan Bredlau of Marshfield. Jody Slark of Sauk City was
flowergirl.
Bestman was Greg Bredlau of North Liberty, Iowa. He was joined by Joe Scidmore
of Spencer, Mike Barna of Withee, Mike Slark of Granton and Dan Mroz of Owen.
Ushering were Ricky Slark of Granton and Dennis Bredlau, Owen.
The bride chose a Queen Anne-styled gown of sheer organza and Chantilly lace
with matching fingertip-length veil. She carried a cascade of silk white roses,
light lavender miniature carnations and lavender forget-me-nots. Her attendants
wore formals in a huckleberry color with matching jackets; they carried nosegays
of lavender carnations, daisies and forget-me-nots. They also wore matching hair
pieces.
Following the services, a dinner and reception was held at the Marshfield Labor
Temple. The couple announced plans for a trip to the New England states and
Canada.
The bride, a 1978 graduate of Marshfield Senior High School, is a bookkeeper at
the Owen-Withee Family Clinic in Owen. Her husband, a 1975 graduate of
Owen-Withee High School, is co-owner and sales and service head at Midway
Chevrolet-Pontiac, Inc., Owen. The couple will make their home in Owen.
