Tesmer, Jan Marie (9 October 1982)

Jan Marie Tesmer and Mark Thomas Moennig, were united in marriage on Saturday evening, October 9, ceremonies conducted by the Rev. Norman W. Lindloff at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville. Parents of the couple are Milford and Pat Tesmer, 512 West First St., Neillsville, and Mrs. Harold Moennig, Rt. 1 Neillsville.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Tess offered special music for the service.

Serving as maid of honor was Natalie Witte, a friend of the bride from Eau Claire. She was joined by Jan Moennig, the groom’s sister of Chicago; Lisa Skroch, a friend from Granton; and Laura Backaus, a friend from Marshfield.

H. Richard Moennig, the groom’s brother of Lake Forest, Illinois, served as bestman. Joining him were Louis Rosandich, a friend from Spencer; John St. George, a friend from Abbotsford; and Steve Tesmer, the bride’s brother from Madison. Douglas and Jessie Moennig, brothers of the groom, served as ushers.

The bride chose an ivory satin gown with re-embroidered Alencon lace and featuring a chapel-length train. Her attendants wore matching gowns in raspberry hues. The bride carried burgundy and ivory silk roses on a white lace fan, her attendants carried burgundy and ivory silk roses. The groom and his attendants were attired in dark gray tuxedos.

Following the service, a reception was held at Fannie’s Supper Club.

Prenuptial events included a shower hosted by Natalie Witte, Laura Backaus and Lisa Skroch at the Witte home.

The couple will make their home at rural Neillsville. The new Mrs. Moennig is a graduate of Neillsville High School and District I Technical Institute-Eau Claire and is employed as a realtor for State Wide-Real Estate of Neillsville. Her husband is a graduate of Niles West High School in Illinois and UW-Eau Claire and is employed as a traffic officer for Clark County.
