Erickson, Emil (7 Mar 1890 – Jan 1977)
Mrs. Cornel Erickson received word of the death of Emil Erickson at a Westby
Nursing home on Friday. Mr. Erickson was born at Curtiss March 7, 1890, to Mr.
and Mrs. Iver Erickson.
He owned and operated a hardware store in Dorchester before moving to Westby in
1945, where he also operated a hardware store until his retirement eight years
ago.
He is survived by his wife, the former Mildred Reishus; one son, Richard,
Harlowton, Montana; three daughters, Mary Ann (Mrs. Richard Farley), Washington,
D.C., Elaine, (Mrs. George Lockett), Sedalia, Missouri, and Helen, (Mrs. John
Kissel) Coon Prairie, Minnesota; and twelve grandchildren; several
great-grandchildren, and one brother, Cornell Erickson, Curtiss.
He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
Funeral services were held at a Lutheran church in Westby, of which he was a
member.
