GREENWOOD - The Clark County conservation and environmental awareness speaking
contest was held October 13 at Greenwood High School.
The following were selected as winners:
-- Grades 5 and 6: Christ Langfeldt, Owen, first place; Kattie Baxter,
Abbotsford, runner-up.
-- Grades 7 and 8: Kim Fisher, Thorp, first place; Jeremy Gerrits, Thorp.
runner-up.
-- Grades 9 and 12: Barbara Rollins, Granton, first place; Rick Uhlig,
Abbotsford, runner-up.
The first place speaker in each division will represent Clark County at the
district soil and water conservation speaking contest in Menomonie. The contest
was sponsored by the University of Wisconsin-Extension office and the Clark
County Land Conservation Department.
