Fleming, Spring Joy (30 October 1982)
Spring Joy Fleming and Jerry F. Barum, both of Skokie, Illinois, were united in
marriage on Saturday afternoon, October 30, at Grace United Methodist Church in
Greenwood by the Rev. Norbert Miller.
Parents of the bride are Mrs. Delton Jolivette of Greenwood and Gordon Fleming
of Osmond, Nebraska. The Groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Waletzke of
Winona, Minnesota.
Cheryl Kolar, the bride’s cousin of Mundelein, Illinois, was the matron of
honor. Gene Barum, the groom’s brother of Reeds Landing, Minnesota, was bestman.
Music at the service was provided by Dorothy Fleming and Rochelle Schultz.
The bride chose a gown of Quiana, featuring a Queen Anne’s neckline and attached
train and matching altar length veil. She carried a cascade of apricot roses,
white camelias and lilies-of-the-valley. Heer attendant wore a wine-colored
floral print chiffon gown; she carried a nosegay of wine roses and white
camelias. The groom and his attendants were attired in navy blue suits.
Following the service, a reception was held at the bride’s mother’s home at
Greenwood. The couple then left on an undisclosed wedding trip.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Barum will make their home in Skokie. She is a 1975
graduate of Greenwood High School and in 1977 from St. Joseph’s School of
Radiology in Marshfield. She is employed as a radiology technologist in
Evanston, Illinois. Her husband attended Winona Senior High School and Columbia
College in Chicago and is employed by a Chicago-area metropolitan security
corporation.
