Seif, Chester E. (20 June 1912 – 13 November 1982)
Chester E. Seif, the son and brother of former Neillsville business owners,
passed away on Saturday morning, November 13, in Osseo Hospital. At the time of
his death he was an Augusta resident.
The deceased was born on June 20, 1912, in Neillsville to Charles and Elsie
(Wood) Seif. After his education, he became a partner with his father and
brother, Dalein C.E. Seif and Sons Implement of Neillsville.
On March 27, 1937, he married Dorothy Dankemeyer in Galena, Illinois ceremonies.
In December of that year, the couple moved to Augusta, where until 1978, he
operated Seif Implement of Augusta. For the past year, he worked at the
Neillsville implement business. Seif was a member of the Augusta City Council
for many years.
Surviving him besides his wife, are two daughters, Sandra Ristow of Moscow,
Idaho, and Marilyn Seif of Marshfield; a sister, Mrs. Richard Hemp, Mosinee, a
brother, William, Rockford, Illinois, and a granddaughter.
Private funeral services were held on Tuesday, November 16, at the Anderson
Funeral Home in Augusta with the Rev. George Agema officiating, and burial was
made in Augusta’s West Lawn Cemetery.
