Thoma, Carl A. (21 April 1896 - 30 October 1983)

NEILLSVILLE _ Services for Carl A. Thoma, 87, of 1120 Grand Ave., Neillsville, who died late Sunday afternoon at his home will be Thursday at the Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville.

The Rev. Gary L. Clark of the United Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will be in the Neillsville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Norbert Endel, Herman Hagedorn, Wayne Gross, Tom Thoma, Bill Thoma and Cliford Parrett.

He was born April 21, 1896 in the Town of Weston, to the Late Mr. and Mrs. William C. (Amelia Floerke) Thoma and received his education there. He worked as a mechanic in Neillsville for various garages for many years. During World War II he was employed at the Auto-Test in Neillsville. Following that he was employed at Gross Motors until his retirement.

He married Gertrude Ritzel in April 1918; she died August 30, 1970. On June 1, 1972 in Neillsville he married Nina Bardell. She survives.

He was also predeceased by three bothers and one sister.
