Four students from the area have been named to receive the Chancellor’s Award
for academic excellence during the first semester at UW-Stout.
They are: Gene Ruppert, a senior majoring in vocational rehabilitation, and the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ruppert, Route 1, Colby; Dean Ruppert, a senior
majoring in vocational rehabilitation, another son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold
Ruppert; Carol Ann Kops, a junior majoring in Clothing, textiles and design, and
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Kops, Route 1, Unity; and Rand Runge, a
junior majoring in industrial technology, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold
Runge, Route 1, Unity.
The award replaces what has been traditionally known as the dean’s list, and is
presented to students who have a semester grade point average of 3.5 or above.
