Manier, Glenn Willard (20 May 1940 – 14 February 2023)
Glenn Willard Manier, beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed
away on February 14, 2023, at the age of 82.
Glenn was born May 20, 1940, in Michigan, to Jacob and Rachael Manier. Glenn had
a variety of jobs before he found the love of trucking. Early in his career,
Glenn traveled all over the United States as an over the road truck driver. When
Glenn was no longer driving over the road, Glenn worked in auto body shops as an
auto body repair man; finally retiring in 2020. Over the years, Glenn could be
found in his garage, sanding down car body parts or painting a car with his
kids.
On February 19, 1977, Glenn married his best friend Shirley in Las Vegas,
Nevada. Glenn and Shirley have 6 children together and 7 from Glenn's previous
marriage. During the early years of their marriage, Glenn and Shirley lived in
California, Texas and made their final home in central Wisconsin.
Glenn had a passion for gun collecting and going to the shooting range with his
family and friends. After Shirley's passing in 2014, Glenn adopted his dog,
Fritz. After Fritz's passing, Glenn adopted Maisy. Glenn would love to go on car
rides with his dog Maisy. Everywhere Glenn went, Maisy was right by his side.
Glenn had a great sense of humor. Right up to the time of his death, Glenn was
laughing and joking with the nurses in the hospital. He loved to watch YouTube,
reading westerns and doing word searches.
Glenn was preceded in death by his beloved wife Shirley; his parents; sister
Sharon; brother Michael; sons Robert and Tommy; and his dogs Fritz and Bear.
Glenn is survived by his children; siblings; grandchildren and
great-grandchildren; his beloved friends Sarah and Darrell, and his dog Maisy.
Funeral Services will be on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the Gesche Funeral
