Anderson, Ruth (17 June 1898 – 7 December 1982)
Ruth Anderson, a resident of Neillsville Memorial Home for the past 16 years,
passed away at the home on Tuesday morning, December 7.
Funeral services were to be held today (Thursday, December 9) at 1 p.m. from the
Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. The Rev. Homer Webster was to officiate with
burial in the Town of Seif Cemetery. (Visitation was to be held at the funeral
home this morning, Thursday, from 9 till the time of services.
The deceased was born on June 17, 1898, to Mr. and Mrs. Victor Hagstrom in
Chicago. She received her education in Chicago schools and then worked in that
city until her June 1, 1927, marriage to Grant A. Anderson, Sr. The couple made
their home in Chicago and later moved to Indiana where they remained for five
years. In 1957, the Andersons moved to the Marshfield area and in 1960 to Clark
County. On October 8, 1966, Mr. Anderson died, and Mrs. Anderson moved to
Memorial Home.
Surviving her is a son, Grant A. Jr., Neillsville; a sister, Mrs. Al (Edna)
Enstrom, Sawyer, Mich.; eleven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She
was preceded in death, besides her husband, by a daughter, Virginia; a sister;
and two brothers.
