The appointment of John A Thompson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ruel Thompson, Route 1, Dorchester, to manager of the new Thorp Financial Services office at Delavan, has been announced by Thomas E. Wilshire, company president.

Thompson started with the firm in March of 1974 as a trainee in the Madison office. He has since served in Thorp offices in Dodgeville, Darlington, Janesville and Sun Prairie. He was promoted to manager of the White water branch in October of 1976, a position he held until his recent appointment.

The U.S. Army veteran is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire, where he holds a Bachelor’s degree in business administration.
