Kalepp, Harold and Lucille (22 December 1983)
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kalepp Sr., Abbotsford, celebrated their golden wedding
October 22 at Abbotsford City Hall. Dinner for relatives was served followed by
a dance, lunch and refreshments. Their marriage was December 22, 1933 at
Dorchester.
Original attendants present were Clarence Kalepp and Mrs. Clarence (Margaret
Bremer) Kalepp, both of Dorchester.
Kalepp, son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Kalepp, was born February 21, 1913 in
Dorchester, where he attended school.
His wife, the former Lucille Bunnell, was born June 6, 1913 in Stevens Point to
Mr. and Mrs. Monroe P. Bunnell. She attended Abbotsford Grade and High Schools.
The Kalepps lived in Dorchester until 1930 and then located in Abbotsford,
living with his father until he married. He sold farm machinery at Abbotsford as
owner and president of the company for the past 50 years, along with his three
sons and grandsons. Mrs. Kalepp has been bookkeeper the past 25 years for the
Implement Co.
The couple has three sons, Harold G. Kalepp and Gerald Kalepp, all of
Abbotsford, and one daughter, Mrs. Bill (Jane Alice) Harder, Wausau. There are
eight grandsons and two great-granddaughters.
Eight years ago Kalepp retired from the business but still is close to it. Both
he and his wife enjoy hunting, fishing and travelling. She is president of the
Woman's Library Club of Abbotsford.
The Kalepps. members of Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford, received a
congratulatory message from President and Mrs. Ronald Reagan.
