Prosa, Ruth (27 November 1982)
The Rev. Tom Hoverston officiated at Lutheran ceremonies in Deerfield for the
Saturday, November 27, wedding of Ruth Prosa of Deerfield and Clair Smale of 203
W. Fourteenth St., Neillsville.
Special music selections were offered at the service by Susan Anderson.
Georgia Ann Zank, the daughter of the groom from Red Wing, Minnesota, served as
the maid of honor. Bestman was Timothy Prosa, the oldest grandson of the bride.
Ushering were Ty and Troy Prosa, grandsons of the bride from Deerfield.
The bride chose a light lavender dress, and her attendant wore dark purple. Each
wore corsages to match their dresses. The groom was attired in a dark brown suit
and his attendant wore a pin-striped, gray suit.
Prenuptial events included a shower hosted by Betty Mickleson, Mildred Dahlby,
Lila Eide and Gloria Prosa.
Following the service, a reception for 300 was held at the Deerfield Rod and Gun
Club. The couple announced that they would take a western trip later this year.
The couple will make their home in Neillsville.
