Lindow, Helen (1 May 1890 – 30 December 1982)
Mrs. Helen Lindow, 92, of Chili passed away in St. Joseph’s Hospital,
Marshfield, on Thursday morning, December 30.
The deceased was born on May 1, 1890, in the Town of Lynn to Bernard and Emma
(Seefeldt) Drescher. She received her education in the Town of Lynn schools. On
October 13, 1909, she married Luther Lindow in Lynn area ceremonies. The couple
farmed in the Town of Fremont, retiring in 1950. Then they made their home in
Chili. She was a member of the Immanuel congregation and the Esther Circle of
that church’s women’s organization.
Surviving her are two sons, Vernon of Chili and Milo of Plymouth; two sisters,
Mrs. William (Mary) Lindow of Chili and Mrs. Adella Trunky of Altoona, Florida;
two grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by
her husband (August 29, 1958), three sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon, January 3, from Chili’s Immanuel
United Methodist Church with the Rev. Frank Hinebaugh officiating. Burial was
made in the church cemetery. The Gilbertson Funeral Home of Granton was in
charge of arrangements.
