West, Bruna S. (18 March 1918 - 3 November 1983)
GREENWOOD - Mrs. Travis W. (Bruna S.) West, 65, Route 1, Greenwood, died
Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. She had been a patient there
since October 28. She had been in ill health the past 18 months.
Memorial services will be Saturday evening at the Rembs/Kundinger Chapel,
Marshfield. The Rev. Thomas C. Heskin, O.S.M., chaplain of St. Joseph's
Hospital, will officiate. Cremation will follow.
The former Bruna S. Somazzi was born Marsh 18, 1918 in Napa, California and
received her education in schools there. She was employed in California for
several years prior to joining the United States Government in foreign service
in Washington, D.C. and Warsaw, Poland.
She was married to Travis W. West in March 1983 in Manassas, Virginia. He
retired from the armed forces in 1967 and the couple then moved to Willard. She
was employed at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. In 1970 they moved to
Greenwood and lived there ever since.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Travis W. Jr. of Houston, Texas; three
grandchildren four sisters, Mrs. Aurora Bruner of Napa, California, Mrs. Ted
(Marge) Brich of Hotchkiss, Colorado and Lily Murray of Napa.
She was predeceased by her parents, one brother and one sister. Memorials
requested to the Marshfield Medical Foundation.
