Ness, Mrs. Mary (1891? – Feb 1976)

Word was received here of the death of Mrs. Mary Rued Ness, age 84, at her home in Santa Monica, California, after a lingering illness.

Mrs. Ness was born and raised in the Town of Hoard, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Matt Rued. After her marriage to John Ness, they farmed in North Dakota. After the death of her husband, she moved to California, where she resided until her death.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son and two brothers.

She is survived by two daughters, both in California, a sister, Agnes, also in California, several grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.

Services were held in Santa Monica. Burial followed in Woodlawn Cemetery.
