Twelve Vocation Agriculture students from Colby High School participated in the
Agriculture Mechanics Skills Contest held March 4, 1976 at North Central
Technical Institute in Wausau.
Contests were held in the areas of farm machinery, tractors and engines, and
tools and safety.
High scorers from Colby Were: Frist place winter, Bruce Hauser and fourth place
winner, Jeff Weiland.
They both participated in the tools-safety division.
Overall Colby place second out of the 15 teams that competed.
Agriculture students that represented Colby were: Al Carlson, Pat Beyerl, Don
Rabehl, Doug Newman, Jeff Weiland, Bruce Hauser, Darwin Baker, Mark Jablonicky,
Francis Dukart, Duane Schuh, Dave Kunze and Paul Kunze.
