Carol Colby, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Colby, Abbotsford, has been
appointed to staff production of a weekly television program broadcast from the
University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point.
She is involved with “To the Point”, which is an hour program broadcast lived,
which investigates relevant social issues, predominately of local origin. It is
aired on cable television channels in Wausau and Stevens Point on Wednesdays
from 8 to 9 p.m.
The program is one of four that are prepared for broadcast by the campus
television organization, which is comprised mainly of students majoring in
communications at UW-Stevens Point.
In addition to their regular programming, the organization takes an active role
in the annual telethon for charity that is sponsored each December by university
students. Last December, more than $8,000 in pledges were receive.
