Julie Ann Peterson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Peterson, Route 1,
Dorchester, was married February 28, 1976 to Jay E. Block, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Harold Block, Colby.
Pastor David Ault officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony at St. John’s Lutheran
Church, Riplinger.
When the bride was presented by her father in marriage she wore a white empire
style gown of acetate and taffeta. He white net illusion veil was held by a lace
crown. She carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations.
Debora Dahl was maid of honor. Kathy Brunetto and Diane Erl were bridesmaids.
They wore long peacock blue gowns with hooded jackets and each carried a red
rose.
Best man for the bridegroom was Steve P. Brill. Groomsmen were Jim Brandt and
Neil Anderson.
Jesse Miller and Mike Peterson were ushers.
A wedding reception was held at the Memorial Hall in Unity.
The couple took a wedding trip to Minnesota.
The bride attended Medford public schools.
The groom is a 1973 graduate of Colby High School and a graduate of Brown
Broadcasting Institute, Minneapolis, and also attended the University of
Wisconsin, River Falls.
