Van Gorden, Heron “Pink” (Honored - 1983)
Each year an award is presented to a business which has supported youth
activities. Heron “Pink” Van Gorden received the honor this year for his role in
helping with activities at the fair in order to make the judging and other
activities worthwhile. He pledged himself to do all that he could to reinstate
the funds for fair premiums for the youth. He is serving his first term in the
Wisconsin Legislation.
The honor was part of a county FFA Alumni event in Owen. Gene Artz,
secretary-treasurer of the Clark County Future Farmers Alumni, made the
presentation to Van Gorden.
