A new fire truck was picked up on March 18, 1976 at Marshall Town, Iowa for
Dorchester. The truck built by American Fire Apparatus has a 750 gallon a minute
pumper, with an 800 gallon water tank. It is also equipped with heated booster
lines. After it was delivered, the following firemen appeared next to the truck:
Herman Sebold, the oldest active member of the Dorchester Volunteer Fire
Department, Larry Smith is secretary of the firefighter group, and Richard Smith
is Fire Chief.
