Goelden, Peter (20 Oct 1887 – 27 Mar 1976)
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 30, 1976, for Peter Goelden, age 88,
of Route 1, Abbotsford.
The Rev. Roger Tellock officiated at the 12:30 p.m. rites at Kraut-Maurina
Funeral Home in Abbotsford.
Burial followed at the Abbotsford Cemetery.
Mr. Goelden died March 27 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where he was
admitted earlier that same day.
He was born October 20, 1887 in Milwaukee.
Mr. Goelden was married to Jeannette Donnelly. She died in 1958. He then married
Molly Bochelm in 1961. She survives.
He lived in Racine County until 1901, when he moved to the Town of Hull and
farmed until 1913. From 1913 to 1937 he worked in Chicago. Since then he has
farmed in the Town of Hull.
Mr. Goelden was a charter member of the Abbotsford Sportsmen's Club, member of
the 132nd Infantry Band from 1916 to 1937, and a member of the American Musician
Union.
He is also survived by a son, A. Louis Goelden, Abbotsford; one daughter, Mrs.
Jeannette Prokop, Batavia, Illinois; seven grandchildren and seven
great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Henry (Jeannette) Spanbauer, Oshkosh.
