Heintz, Hulda (23 Mar 1886 – 3 Apr 1976)
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 6, 1976 at the Lulloff Funeral Home,
Colby for Hulda Heintz, age 90.
She died April 3 at the Colonial House of Colby.
The Rev. Keith Schroerlucke officiated at the 2 p.m. services. Burial was in the
Colby Memorial Cemetery.
The former Hulda Wendel was born March 23, 1886 in Spencer. She received her
education in the Spencer schools and taught school in the Spencer area.
She married Otto Heintz at Spencer on April 5, 1904. After their marriage they
farmed at Cherokee.
Mrs. Heintz was the first president of the Cherokee Homemakers formed 60 years
ago.
She was treasurer of the Cherokee School District, a member of the Methodist
Church and the Cherokee Homemakers.
Her husband preceded her in death.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. John (Irma) Coates, Colby.
