French, an early-day doctor and prominent citizen of the county. She was educated in the local schools and graduated from Milwaukee Downer. She and her family lived in many parts of the world as Gen. Sturdevant served his country.

Mrs. Sturdevant is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Bray, Bethesda, Maryland; a son, John C. Sturdevant, Wheaton; and three grandchildren.
