Selz, Pam (‘Alice’ Finalist - 1983)
Twelve Wisconsin women, including Pam Selz, Humbird, have been named as
finalists for the state’s “Alice in Dairyland” position, after being selected in
interview sessions from a field of over 150 applicants.
Dr. Wilmer Dahl, director of the bureau of economic and market development of
Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection, reports that the applicants were
interviewed in Eau Claire and Milwaukee, April 5 and 6, and in Green Bay and
Madison, April 7 and 8.
The woman who will become Wisconsin’s 36th Alice in Dairyland will be crowned by
the current Alice, Dorothy Farrell, of Oregon on Saturday evening, June 11,
during the coronation program at the Sturgeon Bay High School auditorium. Finals
activities will take place in Door County June 8 through June 11.
