Touschek, Raymond P. (4 July 1915 – 13 April 1983)
Raymond P. Touschek, 67, of 215 South Main St., Greenwood, died Wednesday
morning, April 13, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, of a heart condition.
He was a patient there since March 27.
Mr. Touschek was born July 4, 1915 in Marshfield, the son of John and Theresa
(Bauer) Touschek. He received his education at St. John’s Parochial School and
Purdy Junior High. He was married to Ann. T. Brew on February 3, 1943, in St.
John’s Catholic Church. He was employed as a truck driver for Stanley’s Beer
Depot, Inc., Hewitt. Since 1963 he owned and operated Ray and Ann’s Tavern in
Greenwood. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenwood.
Services were held Saturday morning at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church,
Marshfield. The Rev. Michael Mertens of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenwood
and the Rev. Robert W. Nelson of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church officiated.
Ralph Borowski was the organist for Kenneth Brew the soloist and for
congregational singing. Burial was in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield.
The Pallbearers were Wayne Herdrich, Thomas Brew, James R. Touschek, John J.
Touschek, Harold Touschek and Paul Anderson. The Rembs-Kundinger Chapel was in
charge of arrangements.
Survivors are his wife; a son, CW03 Raymond Touschek, Jr., aboard the U.S.S.
Carrier Midway of Yokohama, Japan, two grandchildren; and four brothers, Clem
and Joseph, both of Marshfield, Leonard of Janesville and Norman of Beloit. He
was predeceased by his parents and two brothers.
