Vircks, Lydia (3 Apr 1892 – Apr 1976)

Mrs. Lydia Vircks, 84, died at 12:55 a.m. Monday morning at Continental Manor in Abbotsford, where she had been a patient for the past five months.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Dorchester, with the Rev. Roland Golz officiating. Burial will be in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home at Dorchester is in charge.

The former Lydia Gutwasser was born April 3, 1892 at Dorchester. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gutwasser. She received her education in the Dorchester schools, and lived here all her life.

On April 5, 1934, she was married to Max Vircks. He died January, 29, 1958.

Mrs. Vircks was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and a charter member of the sewing circle of that church. She was a member of the Dorchester Senior Citizens.

Survivors include two stepsons, Clarence Vircks of Abbotsford, and Marvin Vircks, West Allis.
