Krasselt, Rita Kaye (18 September 1951 – 19 July 2024)
Rita K. Krasselt, a beacon of love and generosity, left this world on Friday,
July 19, 2024, at the age of 72, to begin her great adventure in her heavenly
home. Born on September 18, 1951, in Black River Falls, Wisconsin, Rita's life
was a tapestry woven with the threads of kindness, dedication, and unwavering
love for her family. She passed away peacefully at House of The Dove in
Marshfield, surrounded by her two daughters and with the love of her adoring
family.
A proud graduate of Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids, Rita carried with
her the values of hard work and education throughout her life. Along with her
husband Jim she channeled her entrepreneurial spirit into owning and operating
their own business “Plan-It Earth” in Marshfield and Spencer, where her
leadership and vision were as clear as her commitment to her clients and
colleagues. Rita's legacy as a businesswoman was marked by her integrity and the
meaningful relationships she built along the way.
Rita's journey through life was as vibrant and colorful as the gardens she so
lovingly tended. Her passion for the natural beauty of flowers, from the bold
mums and lilies to the delicate stargazers and tulips, All were a reflection of
her own beautiful soul. Rita found joy in the simple pleasures of life: the
songs of birds, the warmth of the sun on her face as she picked blueberries, and
the contentment that came from knitting, canning, and baking her famous rhubarb
cake and chocolate chip cookies.
Her love story with James Krasselt began on a beautiful day in August 1998, and
together they created a family that was her pride and joy. Rita's heart swelled
with love for her children, Tracy (Steve) LaPointe of Stratford, Lisa Rae
(Jason) Schillinger of Marshfield, Joseph (Kayla) Krasselt of Duluth, MN, James
Matthew (Jenna) Krasselt of Denver, IA, and Jameson (Shannon) Krasselt of
Marshfield. As a grandmother, Rita's legacy blossomed further through her
cherished grandchildren, Claire, Bryce, Lydia, Natalie, Audrey, Nash, Maeve,
Marigold, Christian, and Hannah. Each of them was a unique petal in the garden
of her life.
Rita's siblings, Donald (Brenda) Strowzewski, Linda (Jake) Dick, and George
(Carol) Strowzewski, shared in the joys and sorrows of life with her, and their
bond was unbreakable. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Rose
(Pankratz) Strowzewski, and her niece, Linday Zoelke, whose memories remain a
cherished part of her story.
Rita's life was a testament to the power of love, the strength of family, and
the beauty of creating a life filled with joy and purpose. Her spirit, a radiant
light in this world, will continue to shine through the lives of those she
touched. Let us celebrate Rita K. Krasselt, a truly remarkable woman, whose
warmth and kindness were the cornerstones of a life well-lived.
If desired, memorials in Rita’s name can be sent to the family for upgrades and
improvements at Salem Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Sherman.

Wucherpfennig, Glenn Howard (14 December 1943 – 18 July 2024)
Glenn H. Wucherpfennig left this world on July 18, 2024, with the same grace and
humor with which he lived his life.
Born on December 14, 1943, in the Town of Frankfort, Wisconsin, Glenn's journey
through life took him from the fields of his hometown to the hearts of many in
Marshfield, Wisconsin, where he took his final bow.
Glenn was known for his ability to fix just about anything mechanical that dared
to break. He enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cards, going to the casino,
restoring old cars, fixing lawnmowers, creating unique bird feeders or just
plain tinkering in the garage.
Glenn cherished his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. His
marriage to Shirley Yeager, though it ended in divorce, blessed him with three
children. Glenn later married Debra Eckes with whom he shared his life since May
3, 2002.
As a father to Renee (Jerome) Meacham of Marshfield, Quint Wucherpfennig of
Fountain City, Shane (Angie) Wucherpfennig of Spencer, and Casey (Kim) Foss of
Richfield, MN, Glenn liked to tell stories and reminisce about the past. His
grandchildren— Corrine (Aaric), Katie (Casey), Cullen, Dylan, Dawson, Lexus,
Ian, Isaac, Autumn, Miles, Cilicia and Judson, along with great-grandchildren
Waiks and Laiken, were his pride and joy.
Glenn's siblings, Walter (Eileen) Wucherpfennig of Marshfield, David (Nancy)
Wucherpfennig of Loyal, Lenora Williams of Marshfield, Lucille Bauer of
Marshfield, and Lois Aumann of Loyal, along with brothers-in-law Ron (Mary)
Eckes of Marshfield and Garry (Leanne Hildebrandt) Eckes of Crossville, TN,
survive him. His canine companion, Toby, was his loyal sidekick, always ready
for a treat or a nap, whichever came first.
Glenn’s career included working at Skelly Service Station, Windy Hill Foliage,
and numerous trucking companies.
Glenn was the kind of guy who could strike up a conversation with anyone
anywhere.
Glenn was predeceased by his parents, Reinhold and Martha Wucherpfennig, his
sister Carol Sandley, his brother Marvin Wucherpfennig, and brothers-in-law
James Bauer, Vic Sandley, Les Williams, and Henry Aumann.

Bio: Mizerka, John
– Acting Beloit Police Dept. Chief (Oct 1976)
Transcriber: Stan
Surnames: Mizerka, Helser. Amend
---Source: Thorp Courier (30 Sep 1976)
A Thorp native will head the Beloit Police Department for the next few months
until a replacement can be found for resigning Police Chief Roger Helser, who
leaves the Beloit force October 1, 1976.
Inspector John Mizerka, 32, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Mizerka of Route 2,
Thorp, was named acting chief by the Beloit Police and Fire Commission to
replace Helser.
A 1962 graduate of Thorp High School, Mizerka joined the Beloit Police
Department in April of 1965 and was promoted to sergeant in September of 1969.
He was made captain in October 1971 and inspector in 1972.
Commission president, John Amend, said the main reason for appointing Mizerka
was his supervision of 80 percent of the forces’ sworn officers for over three
years. He also acted as chief when Helser was absent.
Helser resigned in the midst of a morale problem that has plagued the department
for over a year.
Mizerka’s primary responsibility will be to see that department operation is
effectively carried out.
Mizerka said he expects everyone in the department will be happy, but he doesn’t
think there would be any big problems. The selection of Mizerka, Amend said,
will involve the least disruption of the department of the five candidates
interviewed.
“We expect Mizerka to see all established policies are adhered to, and expect
nothing less than full cooperation from all members of the department,” he said.
The commission will begin the process of selecting a full-time chief sometime
next week. Amend said he expects the search to extend beyond the end of the
year.
