Janet North Pree and Dr. Lawrence L. Inman were married on Saturday, May 7, in
People’s Congregational Church, Bay Port, Minnesota.
The new Mrs. Inman is the majority owner of the Neillsville Bank. She is the
daughter of the late Herman “Pete” and Helen North.
Dr. Inman is managing his farm near Danvers, Minnesota. He received his PhD in
agronomy and genetics from the University of Minnesota. For a number of years he
lectured and taught in Africa and the Middle East.
Dr. and Mrs. Inman plan to move to the Neillsville area in the near future.

Mr. and Mrs. Danny Firnstahl, Stetsonville, former Colby residents, re the
parents of a 7 1 / 1 pound son Dec. 23, at St. Joseph’s Hospital. They named him
Nicholas Stacy. He joins eight brothers and sisters at home. Paternal

Neumann, Ronald W., Navy Machinist’s Maate Third Class (Military Notes - 1977)
Navy Machinist’s Mate Third Class Ronald W. Neumann, son of Johanna Neuman of
Rt. 1, Curtiss, has completed the Basic machinist’s Mate Course.
During the course at the Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, students received
instruction on the use of hand tools and machine shop equipment. In addition,
they studied the basic operation, maintenance and repair of ships, propulsion
equipment, evaporators and generators.
The students were also introduced to the types of duty watches that Machinist’s
Mates stand aboard ships.
He joined the Navy in July 1977.

Dr. Bruce Crowell, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at UW-Platteville,
will deliver the commencement address Dec. 18 at the UW-Platteville. Two hundred
persons are expected to receive bachelor’s and masters’ degrees at 2;30 p.m.
ceremonies in Williams Fieldhouse.
Bryan Tauchen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Tauchen, Rt. 1 Dorchester, is a
candidate for a Bachelor of Science Degree in civil engineering. Tauchen
attained honors while at the university.

Miss Thomason is employed at Eagle Foods in Middleton and is a full time student
at Madison area Technical college. Her fiancé is also employed at Eagle Foods,
Middleton. The wedding will take place at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Madison,
May 27.
Mr. and Mrs. Schulz and Gary were former residents of the Colby area. Gary’s
grandparents, Mrs. Elsie Schulz and Mr. and Mrs. Harlowe Hibbard, reside in
Colby.

Wriedt, Airman Allen C. (Military Notes - 1978)
Airman Allen C. Wriedt, son of Mrs. Elna A. Blunt of 29324 Durand Ave.,
Burlington, Wis., has ben selected for technical training at Sheppard AFB, Tex.,
in the Air Force aircraft maintenance field.
The airman recently completed basic training at Lackland AFB, Tex., and studied
the Air Force mission, organization and customs and received special instruction
in human relations. Completion of this training earned the individual credits
towards an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of
the Air Force.
Airman Wriedt attended Central High School in Salem, Wis. His father, Kenneth G.
Wriedt, resides at 521 W. Center, Dorchester.
