Colby, with Father Rushman and Father Diedrich officiating at the 8 a.m. mass.

Drews, Daniel P. (30 July 1966 – 15 October 2024)
Daniel P. Drews, age 58, of Stratford, passed away Tuesday, October 15th at his
home.
Dan was born July 30, 1966, in Ashland, and raised in Spencer, by parents Robert
and LaVerne (Frischmann) Drews. He was raised on a farm in Spencer. After
graduation, he continued his education while pursuing a career in commercial
construction/carpentry. Dan was united in marriage to Susan L Clement on
September 3rd, 1988, in Saxon. They raised three beautiful children together.
Dan was an avid fisherman and enjoyed weightlifting. He was a talented
woodworker and has crafted many things for those he loved. He was a fitness
mentor to many and was passionate for his children and their friends in their
sports. Dan was a true cheese fanatic and sharp cook. He was well versed to cook
for a crowd.
He is survived by his wife Susan, son Davis (Alexis) Drews of La Crosse,
daughter Justine Drews of Stratford; siblings: Carolyn Drews of Menominee, and
Christopher (Nicole) Drews of Glenwood City. He is further survived by numerous
nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Dan is also survived by his recently found
biological family Carol Morris, Matt Morris, and Melissa Molitor-Olsen. He was
preceded in death by his parents, his son Rick (Richard), his parents-in-law
Kenneth & Sandra Clement and his loyal dog Gunner.
There will be a memorial gathering 2-6 p.m. at Sauter/Rembs Funeral Home in
Stratford for Dan on Saturday, October 19th.
In lieu of flowers monetary gifts will be donated to a special charity in memory
of Dan.

Kramas, Mark (7 February 1955 – 11 October 2024)
Mark Kramas, 69, passed away early Friday, October 11, 2024, at Marshfield
Medical Center, Marshfield.
Mark was born February 7, 1955, in Marshfield, the son of Paul Kramas and Esther
(Kostrzewa) Kramas. He graduated from Abbotsford High School in 1973. On August
12, 1978, Mark was united in marriage to the love of his life, Carleen
Schilling, at St. Bernard in Abbotsford.
In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, woodworking, playing in the polka band
with his dad, and watching sports. In his younger years, he enjoyed spending
time with his nieces and nephews, babysitting, hunting, fishing, and causing
havoc.
He especially enjoyed spending time with friends and family, but his
grandchildren were his pride and joy. He enjoyed watching them play sports and
was their biggest cheerleader. Those who knew him best knew him as an Animal and
the life of the party.
Mark is lovingly survived by his wife, Carleen. His children Amy Kramas (Jeremy
Harger), Andrew Kramas (Wife -Megan), Travis Kramas (Wife-Aubrey), and his
Grandchildren, Brooklyn Kramas, Jace Kramas, Rayden Kramas, Hailey Kramas, and
Aryanna Kramas. Siblings: David and Dottie Kramas, Paul and Marcy Kramas, Jack
and Marlene Kramas, Joanne Kramas, Mike and Louise Wagner, James and Sally
Kramas, and Denny and Donna Schilling, Mike and Barb Bruski, James and Joanne
Schilling, and Brad and Kristine Slavinsky. Many nieces and nephews further
survive him.
Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Ester Kramas, stepmother Lucy
Kramas, In-laws Karl and Marie Schilling, Siblings Doris Meyer, Tom Kramas, and
Bruce Kramas, and his nephew, Ronnie Kramas.
A Celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2024,
at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home (1010 E. Veterans Pkwy, Marshfield, WI 54449).
Deacon Ray Draeger will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on
Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.

Marg, Rhoena Mae (27 October 1934 – 15 October 2024)
Rhoena Marg, age 89, of Granton, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 15,
2024, at the Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, surrounded by her loving
family.
Rhoena Mae Adams was born on October 27, 1934, in Neillsville, the daughter of
Elmer and Hazel (Brown) Adams. They resided in Rural Pine Valley on the family
farm. She met the love of her life, Duane "Jim" Marg at Luther League at the
Pine Valley Church. After she graduated from Neillsville high school, they
worked in Milwaukee. They were united in marriage April 18, 1953, at the Pine
Valley Lutheran Church. There was a packed Grant Village Hall for the wedding
dance. They celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary at Fannies Supper Club and
their 50th wedding anniversary at the Granton Sportsman's Club previously known
as the Village Hall. They were married for 52 years before Jim's death in 2006.
Rhoena worked almost 18 years for the Neillsville Memorial Hospital and nursing
home. One winter there was a severe snowstorm, but she still got to the hospital
to provide care. With roads closed for her return home, she stayed with family
in town to make sure she got to work the next day. She was very dedicated,
compassionate and caring for others. In 1994, they were nominated by their
grandchildren and became honored grandparents for the Granton Fall festival.
The Howdy Doody cookie jar was filled with treats and Grandma Rhoena would
provide fun activities, such as Santa and Mrs. Claus coming to her home for her
grandchildren to enjoy. Her attic bedroom was always ready for all of her
grandchildren visits, and she never minded them jumping on the six double beds
as long as they never fell off!
Along with family visits, she also enjoyed traveling, seeing all the US coasts,
Hawaii, the Caribbean, Guatemala, and Europe.
Rhoena will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her five surviving
children, Ruth Marg-Patton of New Brighton, Minn., Susan (Colin) Conn of Cross
Plaines, David Marg of Black River Falls, Sherie Dybevik of Cottage Grove, and
Melissa (William) Hines of Big Lake, MN; a daughter-in-law, Debra Marg of
Neillsville, 12 grandchildren, Colin Conn, Tyler (Hilary) Conn, Quinn (Erin)
Conn, Carmen (Chad) Patton-Minder, Shawn Marg-Patton, James (Heather) Marg,
Rebecca (Matt) Taus, Autumn Marg, Adam (Sarah) Marg, Nicole (Luke) Zautner, Ryan
Dybevik and Savannah Hines, 22 great grandchildren, and three sisters, Nancy
Versecki, Bonnie Kuechenmeister and Barbara Olson.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Duane "Jim" Marg, a son, Danny Marg,
her parents, Elmer and Hazel (Brown) Adams, a son-in-law, John Marg-Patton,
three brothers, Wilbert (Ruby) Adams, Larry (Lana) Adams, and David Adams, her
father and mother-in law, Elmer and Agnes (Garbisch) Marg and their children,
Curtis (Gladys) Marg, Alene (Ralph) Lautenbach, Amber (Harvey) Pischer, Erland
(Joyce) Marg and Ruth Marg.
Visitation for Rhoena will begin at 9:30 a.m., Friday, October 18, 2024, at the
Neillsville American Legion, with a Memorial Service to follow at 11:00 a.m.
Pastor Bob Garbisch will officiate. Interment will be in the Zion American
Lutheran Church Cemetery in Granton.
In lieu of flowers memorials, in Rhoena's name, may be directed to her family
for designation at a later date.

Pederson, Charles (29 February 1944 – 13 October 2024)
Charles M. Pederson, 80, of Granton, died on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at the
Marshfield Medical Center-Marshfield.
Charles "Chuck" Merle Pederson was born on February 29, 1944, in Nashville, TN
the son of Merle A. and Margaret J. (Brumbach) Pederson. He graduated from
Pittsville High School in 1963. He went on to UW Stevens Point earning a
Bachelor's degree in Secondary Music Education. Chuck taught music in Granton
and Sparta School Districts. He then went to work at the Tomah VA Hospital
caring for patients for 10 years. During this time his love of music remained,
and he volunteered as organizer and Director of the Sparta Chamber Orchestra.
On November 4, 2006, he was united in marriage to Rochelle A. Tichy at the
Granton United Methodist Church. Together they loved traveling the western
United States and building a retirement home. Chuck restored an antique tractor
and enjoyed plowing snow and tilling a small garden.
He is survived by his wife, Rochelle of Granton, sister; Carol Blattler of
Marshfield, and Betty (Robert) Langreck of Germantown, stepchildren, Eric
(Marjorie) Hansen of Tallasay City, Negros, Philippines, Beth Louise Tichy of
Chili, and Vincent (Jean) Tichy of Stratford.

Herbert Charles Puscheck, 88, passed away on September 29, 2024, in Alexandria,
Virginia after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease and recent esophageal
cancer.
Herb was preceded in death by his wife Betty, parents, Ella and Herbert Puscheck
and sister Mary (Jerry) Kronberger.
Herb is survived by his children: Elizabeth (Daniel Rappolee) Puscheck and Lisa
Puscheck, grandchildren Eleanor (David Sandahl) Rappolee, Thomas Rappolee,
Benjamin Rappolee, Isabel and Jackson Zamer, nieces Ann (Mark) Knudson, Renee
(John) Burda, nephew Alan Kronberger, and a number of other relatives from WI.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Demaine Funeral

Richard, Carol J. (24 February 1948 -16 October 2024)
It is with great sadness that the family of Carol Jean Richard announces her
passing on October 16, 2024, at the age of 76.
Carol was born on February 24, 1948, in Waterloo, Iowa to Adelbert "Dell" and
Norma Jean (Teter) Bravener. In 1950, Carol and her family moved to Wisconsin.
She graduated as Salutatorian from Greenwood High School in May 1966.
After graduating, Carol moved to Washington, D.C. and began working for the
Federal Bureau of Investigation where she worked as a fingerprint technician.
Later that same year, Carol began working at the Internal Revenue Service in
Washington D.C in a secretarial/typist role. On March 11, 1967, Carol married
the love of her life, Dan Richard at Union Methodist Church in Washington, D.C.
In 1971, Carol moved back to Greenwood She held several occupations including
Clark County Department of Weatherization, Clark County Courthouse, and
Headstart in Abbotsford. In 1992, Carol graduated from Wisconsin Indianhead
Technical College with a degree in Early Childhood Education and later received
her Day Care Center Administration degree. In 1994, Carol moved to Marshfield,
and in 1996 she began working at Marshfield Bus Service as a dispatcher and
worked her way up to assistant manager. Carol retired from Marshfield Bus
Service after 24 years in 2020.
While Carol had a fulfilled professional life, her greatest accomplishment was
her family. Carol is survived by her husband of 57 years, Dan Richard of
Marshfield; their children: Carolyn Richard of Plover, Dana Richard of Green
Bay, Daniel (Elizabeth) Richard of Marshfield, and Connie Richard of Marshfield.
Carol is further survived by her grandchildren: Aleena Kaczrouske, Alexis
Kaczrouske, Sierra (Noah) Oswald, Carly (Ryan) Schoeffling, Derrick Richard, and
Mara Daniels, and great-grandchildren: Briella, Ava, Walter, and Rhylee.
Siblings: Richard (Vicki) Bravener, Toni Bravener (sister-in-law), Kenneth
(Karen) Bravener, Barb (Rich) Kane, and Arnold (Brenda) Bravener.
Carol enjoyed gardening, bird watching, sewing, knitting, and crocheting, but
most of all, she enjoyed being with her family, who gave her great joy.
Carol is rejoicing in heaven with her mother, Norma Jean (Teter) Bravener, her
father Adelbert "Dell" Bravener, brother Danny Bravener, and grandparents Albert
and Alice Bravener and Harold and Gladys Teter.
Visitation will be held at Cuddie Funeral Home in Greenwood, on Monday, October
28th from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with the service at 11:00. Burial will follow
in the Greenwood City Cemetery.
Carol’s family would like to thank Elizabeth Vincent of Marshfield, who was
Carol’s loving caregiver, as well as Josh, R.N. from Heartland Hospice, who
helped the family navigate through a tremendously difficult time. We couldn’t
have gotten through this without the support of the two of you.
"To those I love and those who loved me; be happy that we had so many years. I
gave you my love and you can only guess how much you gave me in happiness. I
thank you for the love you have shown, but it's time to travel on. So grieve for
a while, if you must, then let yourselves be comforted by trust. It's only for a

Rueth, Marie Jeanette (12 August 1953 – 14 October 2024)
Marie J. Rueth, age 71, of Colby, formerly of Loyal, passed away on Monday,
October 14, 2024, at Colonial Health & Rehab in Colby. Per Marie's request,
there will be no services held.
Marie Jeanette Klemme was born on August 12, 1953, in Antigo. She was the
daughter of special parents, Ardell G. and Jeanette D. (Weigel) Klemme of
Stratford, and born to Clarence and Margaret (Klomerus) Drexler of Antigo. Marie
was raised and received her education in Stratford, graduating from Stratford
High School in 1971. She then attended North Central Technical Institute in
Wausau. Marie worked at Land O' Lakes in Spencer, where she met her future
husband, Robert C. Rueth, and they were united in marriage on October 5, 1974.
They lived in Loyal where they raised their son, Kevin.
She had many interests, but especially enjoyed collecting plates, word search
puzzles, reading, and watching TV. Marie loved taking in stray cats, Squeaker
being her last.
Marie is survived by her son, Kevin, of Loyal; three siblings: Steve (Leslie)
Klemme of Anoka, MN, Lori (Mel) Oelrich of Rhinelander, Richard (Lorraine)
Drexler of Lake Barrington, IL; in-laws; numerous nieces and nephews, other
relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, on April 20, 2017; her biological
parents and her adopted parents; her father and mother-in-law, Ed and Florence
Rueth; her siblings: Tom Klemme, Darwin Drexler, Alice Drexler, Clarence
Drexler, Jr., Robert Drexler, and Charlene Drexler; and her goddaughters: Nicole
and Lu Ann Klemme.
Marie's family would like to thank The Waterford of Colby for their compassion
and care given to her these last several years.

Larry C. Vanderhoof, age 72, of Spencer, passed away on Tuesday, October 15,
2024, where he was living with his brother, Roger and sister-in-law, Tammy,
under the tender care of Heartland Hospice.
Larry was born on January 30, 1952, the son of Charles and Ruth (Kohnhorst)
Vanderhoof in Marshfield. He graduated from Spencer High School in 1971. Larry
worked for Christensen Farms for many years. He enjoyed riding in his side by
side and visiting with his neighbors. Larry especially enjoyed Roger and Tammy’s
dogs.
Larry is survived by his brother, Roger (Tammy) of Spencer; many nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Mark.
The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice, especially Julie, Dennis,

Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford. Rev. Donald Bruce will officiate.

Wesenberg, Keith Arnold (19 November 1964 – 16 October 2024)
Keith A. Wesenberg, age 59, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at the
House of the Dove in Marshfield.
Keith Arnold Wesenberg was born on November 19, 1964, to Marlene (Rollins) and
Arnold "Doc" Wesenberg. Keith graduated from Granton High School in 1983. After
graduation Keith moved to his Grandma Vera's farm where he helped with chores.
Keith also held various other jobs including Short's
Fur Farm, the cheese factory in
Chili, Doc's Diner, Leeson Electric, Walmart and delivering the Marshfield News
Herald.
Keith loved all sports. He is well known for his umpiring-skills. Better known
as "Bear", his strike calls were always heard loud and clear. Bear also loved to
play cards of any sort. Cribbage and sheepshead were his favorites, and he was
not above winning big and taking his opponents money. Anyone who knew Bear knew
his singing voice. He could belt out song lyrics for any occasion. Keith's
laughter, stories and jokes will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Keith is survived by his sisters, Sandy (Bo) Hanuszczak, Tammy (Keith) Loberg,
Cindy Mualuko and Suzanne (Rodney) Roehl, step-mother, Carolyn Wesenberg, 9
nieces and nephews, Jesse (Megan) Hanuszczak, Kristen Gorst, Korey (Brandon
Chouser) Hanuszczak, Darrin and Dayne Loberg, Mwende, Mutisya and Daniel Mualuko
and Ryan (Brittany) Roehl, 13 great nieces and nephews, many aunts and uncles
and his caregiver of the past few years, Melony Paulson.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Doc and Marlene Wesenberg, grandparents
Fred and Vera Wesenberg and Robert and Ann Rollins.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, October 20, 2024,
at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. A Private family service will be held
on Monday, October 21, 2024. Interment will be in Windfall Cemetery in Granton.
Pastor Bob Garbisch will officiate.
Serving as casket bearers is Jesse Hanuszczak, Darrin Loberg, Dayne Loberg,
Brandon Chouser, Ryan Roehl and Steve Rollins.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The House of the Dove, 1000 W 11th
St., Marshfield, WI, 54449.
A special "thank you" is givento the very caring staff at the House of the Dove
and Northshore Care and Rehab.

Zschernitz, Jeannette Louise (8 February 1961- 14 October 2024)
Jeannette L. Zschernitz, 63, of Neillsville, died peacefully in her sleep,
Monday October 14, 2024, at Our House Senior Living, Eau Claire.
Jeannette Louise Pyka was born on February 6, 1961, in Chicago, IL. The daughter
of Carl Edward and Susan Marie (Cote) Pyka. She was united in marriage to James
R. Zschernitz April 7, 1984. Jeannette was a stay at home mother. After the
children were raised, Jeannette worked on furthering her education. She really
loved children and helping people with just about anything. Jeannette babysat
all of her nieces and nephews, and many other people’s children through all the
years. She had a big heart. Jeannette also was a waitress at many various cafes.
She loved all the animals and made them pets, from birds to cows. Many strays
were hauled home and cared for. Jeannette’s favorites were Hope the sheepdog and
Stormy the husky. Jeannette was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in
Neillsville.
She is survived by her husband, James, of Neillsville; her daughter, Julia
Zschernitz, of Monona; her son, Jack Zschernitz, of Chippewa Falls, her
grandchildren, who she loved dearly, Landon Zschernitz and Gianna Zschernitz;
her mother, Susan Zank and step-father Bill Zank; brothers, Joe Pyka, Steve
Pyka, and Roy Pyka; sister, Michelle Zank (Dann Hoff); nieces and nephews,
aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Pyka.
A memorial mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October
25, 2024, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville. Celebrant will be Father
Greg Michaud. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will
be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, October 24 at the Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville.
There will also be a visitation Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s.
