Mitchell, Scott A. (24 December 1962 – 20 May 1983)
Scott A. Mitchell, 20, formerly of the Neillsville, Granton and Loyal areas,
succumbed to injuries received in a recent Wood County traffic accident. He died
on Friday, May 20.
The deceased was born on December 24, 1962, in Neillsville to Mr. and Mrs. Gary
Mitchell. He received his education in Granton and Loyal schools, and was
employed by Marshfield Canning and Figi’s and was a resident of that city. He
was not married.
Surviving him, besides his parents, is a brother, Todd, at home, and
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Witt of Marshfield and Mary Mitchell of
Loyal.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 24, from the Gilbertson Funeral Home
in Granton with the Rev. Gale Wolf of Neillsville officiating. Burial was in the
Windfall Cemetery. Pallbearers were Craig Votava, Tom Schoolman, Rich Baumgart,
Bob Garbisch, Dave Hanby, Tom Vernig and Lincoln Bergeran. Organist was Jeanette
Steiner and soloist was Caroline Helm.
