The Rev. Kevin Wenker officiated at the Saturday, May 14, wedding service for Debbie Lynn Nickel of Marshfield and John Alan Moeller of Stratford. The nuptials were heard in Zion Lutheran of Granton. The parents of the couple are William and Sylvia Nickel, Rt. 1 Chili; and Robert Moeller of Arkansaw and the late Clara Moeller.

Offering special music for the service was Caroline Helm, Mark Lavey, Sandra Faber, Patricia Nickel and Gale Moede.

Serving as maid of honor was Susan kay Nickel of Chili. Joining her as bridesmaids were Patricia Nickel of Loyal, Betsy Kurtzweil of Edgar, Penny Bores of Stratford, Shirley Martin of Edgar and Kathy Randt of Marshfield. Cindy Dix of Chili was Junior bridesmaid and Kaycee Bores of Stratford was miniature bride.

Bestman was Joseph Martin, Edgar. He was joined by Larry Nickel of Loyal, John Kurtzweil of Edgar, Jerald Bores, Jr., of Stratford. Mark Nickel of Chili and Larry Bores of Stratford. Junior groomsman was Dean Nickel, Jr., of Chili, while miniature groomsman was Joshua Nickel of Loyal. Ushering were Dale Nickel of Chili, Lance Schaefer of Wis. Dells, William Downey of Stratford and Robert Moeller, Jr., of Glenbeaulah.

The bride chose a silk organza and Venician lace gown in the Queen Anne style, trimmed with seed pearls. Her Queen Anne neckline, bishop sleeves and ruffle flounced hemline swept to a cathedral-length train. Her headpiece and veil were of matching Venician lace and were of fingertip-length. She carried a bouquet of red and white roses, stephanotis and baby’s breath. Her attendants wore rose -hued gowns and carried bouquets of rose mums and baby’ breath.

Following the nuptials, a reception was held at the Southern Clark County Sportsmen’s Club in Granton, which was followed by a dinner at Zion Lutheran and a dance in Rozellville. The couple then left on a trip to California and Mexico.

The new mr. and Mrs. Moeller will make their home at Marshfield. She is a 1975 graduate of Granton High School and is employed as a secretary for Roehl Transport, Inc., Marshfield. Her husband is a 1973 graduate of Stratford High and is a semi-driver for Roehl Transport.
