The installation service for the Rev. Roland Rakow will be held on May 16, 1976
at 8:15 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran, Church, Route 2, Colby.
The Rev. Henry Simon, president of the North Wisconsin District of the Lutheran
Church – Missouri Synod will preach and install.
The Rev. William Ruhbusch of Spencer, and the Rev. Robin O. Fink of Colby will
be the liturgists.
The Rev. Stanley Bahn, brother-in-law of the Rev. Rakow, will also take part in
the service.
Pastor Rakow graduated from Concordia Teachers College, Rover Forest, Illinois,
with a Bachelor degree in education in 1962.
Upon graduation, he received a call to Trinity Lutheran School at Muskegon,
Michigan. He taught there four years until going to Weyauwega. After two years
of teaching at Christ Lutheran School at Weyauwega he entered the seminary at
Springfield, Illinois, graduating in August of 1971.
Pastor Rakow’s first church was at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Beecher, Illinois,
where he was the pastor until coming to St. Paul’s and St. Luke’s of Green
Grove.
He is married to the former Betty Bischoff of Suring.
