Tremmel, Melvin and Laura (Golden Anniversary, 7 November 1983)
Mr. and Mrs. Melvin (Laura) Tremmel of Spencer celebrated their golden wedding
anniversary November 6 starting with Mass at Christ the King Catholic Church,
Spencer. Brunch followed at the Village Plaza, and the open house with buffet
supper and dancing were at the Spencer Municipal Hall.
The Tremmels were married November 7, 1933, at St. John's Catholic Church,
Marshfield. They have lived in Spencer all their life and operated Tremmel's
Machine Shop there. The couple has a son, DuWayne of Marshfield; six
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Their hobbies are fishing, square
dancing and card playing.
The attendants at the 1033 nuptials present were Mrs. Roland (Margaret) Johnson
of Markesan, a sister of Mrs. Tremmel, and Melvin Bell, Mrs. Tremmel's cousin.
