Fakes, Esther (15 November 1907 - 14 November 1983)

COLBY - Mrs. Arthur (Esther) Fakes, 75, Route 2, Colby, died Monday night at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield where she was admitted Sunday.

Services and visitation will be Thursday at the Maurina Funeral Home, Abbotsford. The Rev. Marshall Averbeck of Curtiss Missionary Alliance Church will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery, North Green Grove.

The former Esther Erdman was born November 15, 1907 in Colby, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Gustav (Mary Theilig) Erdman. She was married to Arthur Fakes July 24, 1929 in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, North Green Grove. She was employed by the Owen Canning Co. for several years and lived in the Town of Green Grove and Curtiss area, and in Colby the past 27 years.

Survivors include her husband; four sons, Varian of Edgerton, Gaylerd of Menomonee Falls, LeDale of Colby and Kenneth of Joilet, Illinois; one brother, Oscar Erdman pf Colby; eight grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

She was predeceased by a twin brother, Adolph and a sister.
