UNITY - Lois Rogers was recently elected as vice president of the Lutheran
Church Women of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Verna Dallman was elected recording secretary, and Esther Carlson, corresponding
secretary.
The group decided to bring presents to the December meeting for distribution to
residents of the Clark County Health Care Center, Owen. They also decided to
conduct a short program of singing and help distribute Christmas stockings and
cookies at the Colonial House of Colby.
The Rev. Timothy Duesenberg led the prayer and Helen Ayer thanked the group for
its participation in the Day of Renewal. It was decided to purchase a copy
machine for the church office with profits from the Harvest Dinner.
Vic Bloom resigned as chairman of the Faith and Life Committee and was replaced
by Myrl Messer. Clothes for the Lutheran World Action clothing dive was taken to
Marshfield.
A potluck dinner will be served Sunday at a reception for new members. It will
follow the morning service. Betty Holtman demonstrated Christmas ideas for the
home.
The December meeting will include a potluck lunch, with Edna Tennis, Pat Suckow,
Lavonne Runge and Eileen Safemaster as hostesses. Gifts valued at $3 will be
exchanged by those wishing to participate.
