Lindekugel, Jeffrey Dale (1 August 1954 – 9 March 2023)

Jeffrey Dale Lindekugel, 68, Marshfield, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday March 9th at his home.

Jeff was born in Marshfield, on August 1st, 1954, to Dale and Janice (Alexander) Lindekugel of Loyal. Jeff attended Taft country school until 5th grade and then continued his education at Loyal public schools. He graduated from Loyal High School in 1972. In high school Jeff was known for his athletic abilities in basketball and baseball, his outgoing personality, his girl, and his baby blue Chevy Impala. The Monday after his graduation he began working towards his dream of owning his own construction company and over the next 12 years he worked for various contractors building his skills before starting Equity Builders in 1984.

On March 3rd, 1973, he married his high school sweetheart Maureen Mack. Together they formed a dynamic duo building a beautiful life and business together. Over the years they welcomed 4 children and enjoyed dragging them all over the United States traveling and participating in their various adventures. From hunting, fishing, BMX racing to swimming, baseball, hockey, and basketball, the adventures were endless.

In his more recent years Jeff loved nothing more than spending time with his family and friends, helping them with all of their projects. He was just a phone call away to anyone who needed help. If you couldn’t take the project to the shop, it was guaranteed he would come to you with a tape measure and notepad in hand. It was safe to assume that he would be returning later to hand you a detailed shopping list or a template that he went home and made. At the end of the day his shop was clean and organized, ready for the next day and the next project. He was a selfless man who loved helping however he could.

His shop was always a place of activity. He loved company and welcomed visitors on a daily basis. You wouldn’t even make it into the shop before he would come flying around the corner on his scooter to greet you with a smile. The visits were always enjoyable, and the cookie jar was always full. In the evenings you could find him on his four wheeler down by the pond, where he’d spend hours catching and releasing bluegills and feeding the fish.

He loved his wife and was so proud of his children and who they had become. His greatest joy came from being with family and friends, the people he loved.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years Maureen Lindekugel, his children Travis Lindekugel (Karey Truhlar), Jason Lindekugel, Guy Lindekugel, and Lacie (Robert) Pohl. He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren, Shawna (Zach) Young, Christopher Pohl, NoraLee Pohl, Hanna Lindekugel and Madilyn Pohl. His 4 great-grandchildren, Elliot, Beckham, Emery and Caroline Young, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Dale Lindekugel and Janice (Lindekugel) Niemi, and his sister Julie Loos.

" A great man is one who leaves others at a loss after he is gone." Paul Valery

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 1st, at Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with lunch to follow at noon at the Rembs Celebration Center.
