House, Mr./Mrs. Henry (60th – Jun 1976)
Mr. and Mrs. Henry House, residents of the Green Vista in Abbotsford, were
honored at a dinner for 80 guests at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Curtiss, on
Sunday, June 13, 1976, the occasion being their 60th wedding anniversary.
Following Sunday morning services the couple was escorted from church by their
brother-in-law, Lew Bowen, driving a 1926 Ford and given a tour of the area.
Henry House married the former Mary Peissig at the Peissig family home, north of
Curtiss, June 14, 1916. Their attendants were Julius Paul, Harry Peissig, Melany
Peissig and Hattie Harris.
The couple operated a cheese factor in the Curtiss area during their early
married life, and later two additional factories in the Mosinee area. After
selling their factories they operated a farm in the Curtiss area until their
retirement in 1948.
The couple are parents of one son, Harold House, Abbotsford, and a daughter,
Hazel, deceased.

A party was held Sunday noon at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Parish Hall honoring
Mr. and Mrs. Henry House on their 60th wedding anniversary. A dinner was served
by members of the family. The tables were decorated with a wedding cake and
seasonal flowers.
About 80 relatives and friends attended. Among those attending from out of town
were Mr. and Mrs. Ted Peissig, Green Bay, Marilyn and Maxine Peissig, Milwaukee,
Mrs. Arthur Peissig, Chippewa Falls, Mr. and Mrs. John Cayo, San Diego,
California, Mr. and Mrs. Arnie Harris and family, Chippewa Falls, Mr. and Mrs.
Walter Games, West Bend, Clara Pope, Plover, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin House, New
London, Mr. and Mrs. Stan Woods, Wausau, and Mrs. Lloyd Cook, Unity.
