Ruchaber, Olivia A. (5 March 1898 – 23 December 1983)
Funeral services were held on December 24 in Fond du Lac for Mrs. Olivia A.
Ruchaber, who formerly made her home on Huron Street in Neillsville. Mrs.
Ruchaber died on December 23 in Fond du Lac with interment in the Neillsville
City Cemetery. (Eastern Star memorial services were to be held at a later date.)
The deceased was born on March 5, 1898, in Dotyville to Dr. A. Judson and
Margaret (Konen) Morse. She was a graduate of Ripon College and taught at
various high schools in Wisconsin, including those in Medford, Fairchild,
Granton and Neillsville. On June 12, 1926, she married William A. Ruchaber in
Eau Claire ceremonies.
She was a member of thee Daughters of the American Revolution, St. Mary’s
Catholic Church in Neillsville and was past matron of the local Order of the
Eastern Star.
Surviving her are three sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Margaret) Muraske of Shawano, Mrs.
John (Seviah) Salchert of Ellenton, Florida, and Mrs. James (Martha) Arnold of
Fond du Lac. She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers.
