Dachel, Charles (Military Notes - 1984)
Charles Dachel, son of Joseph and Donna Dachel, Granton, is currently deployed
to the Mediterranean Sea aboard the dock landing ship USS Fort Snelling, which
is homeported in Norfolk, Virginia. Navy Machinist’s Mate Fireman Apprentice
Dachel is part of the Beirut peace-keeping force. The USS Fort Snelling is 510
feet long, carried a crew of 400 and can accommodate up to 340 combat ready
troops.
