Kallis, Mabel (Retires- 1984)
Mabel Kallis, a 4th grade teacher since 1962, is retiring at the end of this
year. She has always taught the fourth grade at Granton during her 22 years
here. Mrs. Kallis graduated from Spooner High School and taught for three years
near there until she moved to North Dakota. In 1960 she returned to teach in the
rural area near Marshfield until coming to Granton. She has no plans for
retirement except to “take it easy for a while.”
