COLBY - A group to address the problems and concerns of teens and parents in the Colby area was formed recently.

The Human Growth and Development Committee hopes to plan and develop after school programs for teens and parents with special consideration given to the needs of local communities and the school district.

Anne Teska and Carol Subera, home economics teachers, are coordinating the program with funds through the Cooperative Educational Service Agency No. 6.

At the first meeting, members exchanged program ideas and agreed to develop the concept of self-esteem by holding programs related to that topic.

Committee members are Debbie Graatz, Jane Meyer, Dave Totar, Pam Clark, Alice Bender, Vicki LaVenture, Maxine Luchterhand, Carol Wilhelmi, Merrie Neitzel and James Saxton, high school principal.
