Greenwood Cemetery Association of Greenwood, Wisconsin
Resolution No. 284
WHEREAS the Greenwood Cemetery Association of Greenwood, Wisconsin, by its Board of Directors and Trustees, pursuant to a vote of the members of said Association, has tendered to the City of Greenwood, a conveyance of the ownership of the said Association of the cemetery properties and assets.
AND WHEREAS it is desirable that the said City of Greenwood own the properties and assets of said Association and operate the cemetery in said City.
AND WHEREAS there are no conditions attached to such conveyance and assignment of such properties, assets, control and operation of said cemetery.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of Greenwood at its regular meeting held on the 4th day of May, 1943, does hereby accept the conveyance and assignment of the properties and assets of said Cemetery Association, as well as the control and operation of the cemetery heretofore operated and controlled by said association.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk of said City, be, and they are, hereby authorized and directed to negotiate with said cemetery association and to accept the necessary papers and instruments to transfer the said properties and said control, and to accept all moneys paid over by the said Association to said City.
IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED that the control and operation of said cemetery shall be in said City on and after May 1, 1943.
