Archie Ketchum was a co-owner with Herbert Westcott in the Greenwood Heating and Plumbing Co. about 1929. In the picture above, Herbert is to the left and Archie is to the right. If you know who the man in the center is, please contact us.
Herbert (Hub) Westcott
died Dec. 1945 at the home of Orlando Amundson. The Amundson's lived up the hill about 2 blocks on the same side of the street as the shop. They were close friends and played cards several times a week. They were living there when O. J. Amundson died in 1953.
Archie Ketchum was a co-owner with Herbert Westcott in the Greenwood Heating and Plumbing Co. about 1929. In the photo above, Archie is pictured to the far right and his partner is to the far left. The door in the back went to a small kitchen and living quarters. On the right, behind a curtain was the stairway that leading upstairs to the sleeping quarters. They also owned a large two story house in Greenwood, where they lived in 1937 when my Grandma Brockway passed away (and she lived with them for 23 years). They moved back in the house after the shop was sold, and May Westcott lived there until her death in 1953. The lawyer who settled the estate in January, 1954, was A. C. Buker and I have all the paper work on it.
