Dr. John L. Smith, Dentistry
Greenwood, Clark Co., Wisconsin
In 1934, Dr. Thomas practiced out of an office above the old post office. Dr. Loren Giswold occupied an office in the north side of the former Vinger building. After Dr. Giswold left Greenwood, Dr. R. J. Weiher became the resident dentist. In the fifties and sixties, Dr. John Smith worked out of the same office as those before him. Greenwood was without a dentist during most of the seventies. During the 1980's, Dr. Dan Schield of Neillsville operated a branch office in the front part of the former Neillsville Clinic building at Main and Schofield streets. Dr. Ted R. Lovick later served Greenwood residents two days a week. His practice was in the Neillsville Medical Center--Greenwood office. He was a staff member of the Dr. Schield Dental Clinic of Neillsville. This property housed the Kavanaugh & Thompson, Palmer Vinger and Tieman Reality before becoming the dental office of Dr. John L. Smith.
