GREENWOOD HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

1914 GIRLS’ ATHLETICS

The Girl’s Basketball team began its practice with Miss Thompson as coach. This team was not organized in order to acquire the championship of the U. S. but mainly for the benefit derived by way of exercise and enjoyment. All will agree that we certainly received our share even if no regular games were played. We didn’t accomplish much—by we had three accidents and not every team can boast of such excellent playing as to injure its members. Next year we hope to organize a fine amateur team which will be a credit to our new schoolhouse—and so make up for our seemingly lack of interest in the Girls’ Athletics of this year.
