Sunday School
The present Sunday School consists of eleven teachers and one superintendent—treasurer, a position which is held by Mrs. Ray Kurth. She takes charge of the opening and closing of each session. She also does the ordering of the material which is needed.
There is an enrollment of sixty-six children from the High School class through Kindergarten.
Mrs. Eugene Thiede is the teacher for the High School class which has an enrollment of six. Mrs. Helmuth Winkler and Mrs. Ralph Lautenbach, the intermediate classes with an enrollment of fourteen. Mrs. Norman Beilke, Mrs. Roy Johnson and Mrs. John Grassman are the teachers of the Junior Department. They have an enrollment of twenty. Mrs. Leonard Thiede, Miss Marlene Goebel and Miss Judy Schmidt teach the Primary children. They have an enrollment of seventeen. Mrs. Hubert Dudei and Miss Joyce Winter are the teachers for the Kindergarten Department with an enrollment of nine. Miss Gloria Hiles is an assistant in the Kindergarten Department. Mrs. Hubert Dudei takes care of the devotions in the Primary Department.
Substitute teachers are: Sandra Kurth, Sharon Kurth and Maida Johnson.
The Sunday School is self supporting and the collections go for material, books and any other supplies needed. The last Sunday of every Month is our “Benevolence Sunday”. These Sundays are sent to Childrens’ Homes, Welfare and Foreign Missions.
