Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church

ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

The labor of compiling our centennial book was shared by many, and, while a simple but sincere 'thank you' seems all too inadequate, we offer our thank you to them knowing that it was a labor of love on their parts - love for their fellow member of Zion, love for their Church, and love for their Savior. We would especially like to thank the members of the Centennial Committee who planned, wrote, rewrote, and worked for several months: Don Bartsch, Lila Schmitz, Lavon Bartsch, Walter Helm, Warren Beulke, Albert Hasz, Armin Moh, Caroline Helm and Reverend Kevin Wenker. Our thanks also to Richard Hillert for writing the early history of Zion and to Adelia Helm for her labors in writing the later history and in helping to compile this book. Ray and Viola Keuer searched out and listed the Baptisms and Confirmations - thank you. And to all who contributed pictures or information from the past, to the Pastors who returned to help us celebrate - we offer our warmest thanks and gratitude.

As with all of man's works, there is the likelihood for making an error or leaving something out. We hope we have not, especially with the Baptisms and Confirmations (many of the records were old and hard to read), but if we have, please forgive our oversight.

In our thanks, we should not forget the most important of all - thanks to our Triune God who established us, has preserved and kept us, and will guide us into the future.
